Nearly 135 days after the previous coach's first press conference as the club's manager, successor the German coach faced reporters at Rangers' stadium for the first time.

The magnitude of the task ahead of him is widely recognized, considering Martin's turbulent and disappointing 123-day spell.

The former Wednesday manager was accompanied by chairman Andrew Cavenagh, along with the frequently questioned pair of football director Thelwell and CEO Patrick Stewart.

However, what precisely was revealed from the young coach's first public appearance as Rangers boss?

Rohl's Main Priority - Winning is Everything

One thing emerged loud and clear from Rohl's first appearance in front of the local press - he recognizes the necessity to win matches, and do so quickly.

His predecessor Martin lasted only 17 games and four months in charge, so the inquiry emerged about how long Rohl believes is realistic to transform the struggling team.

Although deftly avoiding a specific response that could bring later expectations, the coach's message was very evident.

"Hopefully as soon as possible," he said. "That is crucial.
"In this business you have limited time. You can discuss long-term vision but it's understood it concerns the short-term and that period involves securing victories. That is my requirement.
"One thing is also obvious - I need every squad member to understand how we want to play. I return to my primary theme: victory comes first, entertaining football and it's together. If you follow this order, I believe that I will remain for years here."

Pressure is Normal

Martin required security protection to exit the stadium after his final match as manager.

We've witnessed how toxic environments can become at football clubs when results decline. Protests have nearly become an expected part of game day atmosphere on both sides of the city these days.

As the club's most youthful manager in history, the inquiry was posed about which attributes Rohl believes he has that would allow him to cope, let alone thrive, in among the most pressurized positions in UK soccer?

"I think expectations in this business are standard," he commented. "You must learn that rapidly.
"I believe certain individuals might mention my age but I'm 16 years in this career. I had an excellent chance to work with the German club and be only an assistant coach, but I experienced the reality to be a head coach and the demands involved.
"When you start winning games and then some critics will say you must produce entertaining football. That becomes the stage but that's exactly what I want. I relish those expectations and I look forward for what's ahead."

Thelwell Defends Striker Acquisition & Hiring Family Member

There were numerous inquiries from journalists directed at Thelwell.

Much discussion has focused on the appointment of his son as head of recruitment, with supporters skeptical about his qualifications for the position.

However, he defended and explained the decision to recruit Thelwell Jnr to Ibrox.

"It remains uncomfortable to listen and in appearance I believe everyone understood when we took this step to hire Robbie that he'd be viewed negatively," Thelwell said.
"The truth of circumstances is that we aim to attract the very best talent to this club.
"My view on Robbie's career and background is he didn't need family help in soccer.
"He served at Villa as a senior scout, after which he moved to Norwich as head of scouting and then was elevated to development role.
"Prior to our recruited him, two Premier League teams sought to acquire him. What we did from the beginning of the process was discuss with the CEO, Andrew and deputy chairman Marathe about this matter.
"I was highly open and I believe he likely underwent a more rigorous process than any other who's employed by this football club.
"What I do know is that he'll labor constantly to achieve success for Rangers and I anticipate seeing him demonstrating that he'll become an excellent employee for Rangers."

Additionally, Thelwell supported the signing of forward Chermiti, who arrived at the club for a reported first payment of £8m, after failing to find the net in 24 appearances for his previous club.

It was Thelwell who transferred the Portugal young international to Liverpool from Sporting - once more for significant money in a fifteen million pound transfer.

He was asked if he supports his multi-million pound signing, who hasn't yet register in seven matches for Rangers.

"Absolutely, completely," Thelwell responded. "I think the striker represents who's got huge potential.
"I've never doubted him in any way. Similarly, I think the manager will assist in get the best out of the player.
"It's very early days for him, he's a promising prospect and of course with inexperienced players they sometimes take time.
"But I'm certain over the course of his career here he's going to prove that he is very, very good footballer."

Stewart Understands Supporters' Disappointment and Anger

Stewart was also in the media firing line, given the vitriol that has been aimed at him by some club fans.

There was even a banner in the stadium during the recent tie with United suggesting him - and Thelwell - to depart before they were packed for them.

Similar to the football director, Stewart didn't evade the topic.

"I completely understand the frustration and anger that the supporters are feeling because performances this season haven't been good enough and no one is satisfied with them," he stated.
"The pain and disappointment fans experience is matched within the leadership.
"Recognize that there must exist a channel for those frustrations and in my role, I'm responsible.
"I serve as lightning rod for those and my role as a
